My biggest disapointment about Athanor crafting...
The properties:

As in regular play, you can have only up to 2 fully maxed properties. Sure you can put anything in those slots but the choice is meaningless when you ve got stuff like +4% crit power... It just increases the feeling of progression beeing gated behind unecessary grind, you have to grind just to reach the same level of properties as on regular play.

Instead of giving us over 700 power level, why not increase properties slots or maybe increase the pourcentage. Idk throw something spicy, allow us to have 10% mouvement speed or something ?! There is no way i m going to play more than 2 careers and grind all over again everytime!

TL:DR
Why creat a new invetory systeme that just brings GRIND and offers nothing more than what regular play has to offer ? They made a WHOLE crafting systeme and its only purpose is to make you GRIND, WTF?!!!!!!!!

Ofc 2k players / day are relevant, but who do you buy facts about gaming from.
A small swedish company that have 2k player / day for just there game
Steam that have 30-40m players / day and around 5k games on the platform, data about hardware, peak time for every continent, review in millions and much MUCH more. Sure steam cost more, but you get alot more and better numbers, and for thos that want that kind of meta data dont care about that amount of money.

People aleady give everything away with google, discord, steam, twitter, instagram and platforms like that. If you srly worry about Fatshark collecting some meta data from you, i think you should disconnect from the web for a time.
And i dont say that to rude, it just that fatshark is nothing compare to the big fish out there

FatShark uses Steam for some of their services already.

About the buyers of such data:
A *lot* of potential buyers exist, from the military (you read that right) to research institutes (biology, e.g.) to advertising agencies etcetc.. You wouldn't believe what data can be used for.

Apart from that, there is a general misunderstanding, I believe:
I am not worried, not in the least, about FatShark collecting data. I willingly play their game, and if they collect data, they are welcome to do so with me, as long as it's nothing (too) personal.

Just to clarify: You might think it's my goal to attack FatShark or say they are bad data gatherers. I don't. I just pointed out a trend among game developers. That's all.

Btw, if you or anybody else is interested in the topic, there are some very good articles that have come up the last few years in the internet. If you understand German, this one's quite interesting, for example:

Keep your hats on, they've got two months to fix it, and the feedback was brutal. I'm sure they know how important it is.

Do check reviews first though, to make sure they follow through....

My biggest disappointment is that the Weave Forge isn't the default system in the game. It is superior in every way to the lootbox and rerolling RNG system we have now. Once you've unlocked a weapon's properties and traits, you then have access to every possible variation of that weapon in an instant. You can freely swap out your build without fighting RNG. I would give every item in my inventory happily to have the Weave Forge implemented as the base crafting and progression system.

Maybe they do that in V3. But then they probably make up some other idea and implement that midway through its lifetime.

I was a sick when WoM announced. But sepparate game on 2 side is bad idea. Weapons in weaves should connect with regular game. Be true its not new thning in the games, its just rifts from diablo 3, but rifts in d3 connects with game (its game lol) Ive changed my opinion about buy wom

How ironic this situation is: community asked for a new crafting systeme so we can save some time. Fatshak made one but it's only for a gamemode (paid DLC) and its purpose is to encourage grind (witch is time consuming)....

Next time make sure to put some bug fixes in the next DLC or some QoL changes...

I see your point, and its fair. And on big part i agre with you. But there is also one thing to consider - with this system you can actually feel each percentage you put in. THat allows you to more smooth tuning of your gear. Also this system allow you to test gear with some exact properties w/o wasting tons of resourves (not like we need em in vt2, lawl).

I think that it is step in right direction, so we need to encourage devs to make further steps and that way make more comfortable crafting system for regular gear aswell.
