Flat and VR players can play together. It requires both running Serious Sam Fusion 2017. VR player selects VR play at start up and flat does normal startup. The VR player does require owning the VR version of the game (sold separately). The flat player does not. It's not free for the VR player to play VR but it is free for a "flat" player to play with a VR player and flat players if they own the games otherwise.

There is a current bug they are working on with the current version of Fusion 2017 that causes crashes with VR/flat playing together.

The current work around until the fix is going back to the previous version (both VR and flat) of Fusion by right-clicking your game in the steam library -> Properties -> Betas -> Selecting the "previousversion" from the drop down list.

A flat player cannot join a game hosted by the VR person playing the VR version of the game directly. Only VR can join VR using the VR versions directly. Can only use Serious Sam Fusion to join each other VR/flat (also any variation of VR and flat up to 16 players).

Hope that helps!

Yes, they are aware and working on it. Might take them a bit to release the patch.

Is Fusion the only way to play with VR and Flat players? Or is there another option?
