Elevator buttons not working properly

Every time I try to press the elevator button it makes kind of a buzzing sound and then nothing. I was unable to find something about this issue. All I could find was people getting trapped in the elevators if they have not bought the game, but that's entirely different situation from mine.

I think I'm having the same problem. I went up the first elevator once, looked around, went back to finish up the first set of puzzles, then the elevator no longer functions in the same way ScottySR is saying. Here's my pastebin of the .All file: https://pastebin.com/88cZMyPy

Update on this...I restarted the game, finished everything in the first area, and the elevator worked. However, I went to the second area, finished everything, and now the elevator out of the second area has the same problem...rendering it impossible to do the same trick again.

When the elevator worked, the 0th floor button was lit up. When it's broken, that button is dark. The number is lit...just not the button. This issue is incredibly hard to search for online because of some cheeky anti-piracy measure. If this is triggering in my paid copy of the game, that's pretty disappointing to say the least.

Hey!
Are you trying to press the button by physically pressing it with your virtual finger? If so, please try changing the angle a bit and doing it then.

We have gotten two or three reports like this one in the past, and all but one were resolved by different angles.

Thank you for the response! I went back into the game and by tilting my finger such that the finger presses the button very in line with the axis of the button, it works. So, I'm glad I can proceed for sure as the game is lots of fun.

However, I've played with all the angles that work vs. don't work, and this feels very broken. Perhaps it's because I play seated, but it's very unintuitive that a slightly glancing angle would not produce a touch here.

hi danny, any idea when that "make button work" updates coming? i just spent 5 minutes trying to push that button at every conceivable angle, and im not getting anywhere

I'm getting a similar issue - In world B in the lobby I'm trying to go up, but the 0 floor button isn't even lit up, but the -1 button is - Even though the elevator is on that floor. Any ideas?

In world A. Button 0 is dark. Button -1 is lit but just buzzes. C'mon croteam. You broke the ending of SS1VR, and the beginning of this one?

Was this ever fixed? Tried playing for the first time tonight and can't get past the elevator.
Tried multiple angles and never got the button to register. Can't progress past the very first part of the game because of this.
