Resolution problem
When I start the game I get the following error message:

"your full-screen resolution seems to be limited at most 1024x768 on some gpus, this can be caused by enabled TV-Output..."

I have no clue what the problem is but the game looks very bad.
Anybody know a solution for this?
Thanks!

Just an idea, providing more information on your setup and hardware (including used graphic drivers) might help pinpoint the problem down...

My setup is Windows 10 with
i7 5820k,
GTX970,
16 gb ram
drivers are Ver 8.1.960.0

Have you ever experienced this problem or similar ones with any other VR game?

Could you please post your log file, it should be in the folder “<steaminstallation>\steamapps\common\The Talos Principle VR\Log”. It is just a text file, so you can open it with any text editor. You can use Pastebin or any such service to post the log.

Having the same TV-output notification and limited resolution issue. I have a 21:9 wide monitor with 3440x1440 resolution but The Talos Principle refuses to let me set a resolution for it. Have the latest NVIDIA drivers and twice clean installed Talos, no avail. Runnin win 10 64b, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, gtx 970
If I change to dx9, then hit apply on a lower RES, then go back into menu to change to resolution 3440x1440 it works ok, then change back to dx11 its ok too. Very odd that this is necessary to make it work.

Same problem. I've played a little, the default res was 125% from the start.
So after I collected the first part, I decided to push it to 150%. The game crashed. I've wanted to start it again but it took very long. It was back to 100%. Now when I want to set it to 125% again, the game crashes.

I will try it with the dx9 change then dx11 like you say.

I think I've had exactly the same problem with Serious Sam 3VR. And I've also messed with Dx and it fixed it.
I dunno what's the deal with the TV output. I don't have a TV on my PC and I also don't have a second monitor. Only this 3840x2160 monitor @ 150% desktop scaling.

So yeah... I just quit the game to look for an answer, I will jump back in and see what I can do.

Uhm, there is no Dx9 to choose from.
I'm stuck at 100% render scale. I don't want to play like this. :(

Soo... when I change the graphics settings on my desktop, using the mouse, it accepts the changes. It only doesn't accept when I use my Vive and the controllers. o_O Now it accepts 150% when I do it on my monitor.

Is there a fix for this problem from five years ago? I got this in the Croteam bundle and it's unplayably hideous in VR. I've got a GTX 1650 and am getting the same message "your full-screen resolution seems to be limited at most 1024x768 on some gpus, this can be caused by enabled TV-Output..."

There's no in-game option to disable TV output, is there a fix for this?
