how do i change the mission distance units to metres?

I was just pondering this myself (and will check later to see if I'm right), but I have it on two machines here and one relays in feet and the other in meters.

I suspect the one with "feet" is set up with a US localization under its Windows' Language preferences. I know this one has a Canadian preference and it's the one that uses meters.

guess cruinne is right, i've never run into a setting where you can switch between Imperial and metric units so it must be based on the regional settings of your operating system.
