Co-op not working
I got SR3 quite some time ago (THQ was still in business) and one of my friends picked it up with the recent sale. For some reason we cannot play in co-op together. All I get is the message that invites to wait for the other player to accept the co-op (my friend sees nothing) and I'm sudenly back to the start menu with anoter message that says "connection time is up" or smth... Any idea/fix for this?

a virus? can you be more specific? Name of the little bastard? Means you've used to get rid of it?

Is your friend checking the steam chat? Thats where the co-op invite is sent. My and a buddy just got done with a co-op session and no problems here.

we checked both ingame menus and shift+tab steam chat. Invites arrive in both ways but lead to no results (aside from the "connection time up" message I described before)... glad to hear that someone can play! ;)

unless a version some months old is any different from the the all-inclusive one on sale now (wich should definitely NOT be). We share same region/timezone, same language... don't know what could be different.

Make sure you both have the online pass dlc, co-op won't work without it.

No such thing on Steam, as far as I can tell..
Link ?
Bought the Full Package, as my buddy had that as well (and we werent able to see each others games without having the same package), but still cant join.
We see the lobbies, but cant join.
Host doesnt receive a popup and "client" gets "timed out".
Invites dont do anything - doesnt show on the "client".

Doesnt work in-game nor does it work via Steam UI chat invite..

same here but I get a message that the session is no longer available? idk me and my buddy bought it during this steam sale and its not the firewall blocking it.

Yeah, went back and looked, your right about the online passes. But for me the game invite was sent to my steam chat, I had nothing show up in game. After I clicked on the game invite (like you would to accept a trade) it took me in game to a loading screen for co-op and moments later I was in. Only issue I had was skype didn't work due to saints row 3 ingame voice chat. Not sure why you guys are having problems but I hope get it figured out.
