COOP with Steam and Non-Steam Game
Is it possible to find and invite friends to a coop game when one partner uses the steam version and the other using a non-steam version? Do we need to play with tunngle then? Or could my pal simply add his game to steam?

Thx for your advices and have a nice genki

Yes, I play with my friend who has a pirated version everyday. Both of you need Hamachi, the pirated version must match steam's version, then to configurate to play, go to youtube and search for How to play SR3 coop hamachi, both of you need to do everything the guy does in the vid. After all is done, you and him open the game, either you or him Load or make a new game on LAN Co-op, don't forget that you both need to open your game to 'Open to all'. Then both of you will find a game on LAN and play together.

Well, we both have original versions of the game. But there must be a way to play the coop campaign with a friend when both versions are non-steam. How does this work? I guess we will be playing with hamachi in the end but how do non-steam player invite friends to the game?

As far as I know there is no legal non-steam version. Or did I miss something here?

Are you sure? It would be good news for me, because i bought the game for my pal as a present on ebay and it didnt look like it needs steam for registration. So no problems for our coop sessions at all!!! :-) nice and thx
