"The Johnnyguard" achievement impossible to obtain

So I decided to 100% this game and I've been working on it. But it seems to be impossible o get this achievemnt becxause just before the second to last helicopter Johnny gets randomly hurt by the equivalent of 1 missile. This is happening over and over and over again, I've tried at least 20 times and it keeps happening. Help?

I did the missions from Trouble with clones in COOP I got all the achievments from that DLC I guess its easier in coop couse One can shoot down helis the other one ground troops but we were just shooting at random and he didnt get hurt.

No no no, I shoot down all the helicopters before they even get to shoot him, I shoot at the spots where the tanks will appear, I don't use up the "buffer" you get where some rockets don't hurt him. He magically loses health.

You never used cheats? Once you activate a single cheat you wont be able to get achievements, it doesnt matter how far you are at this point.

No, never used cheats, and it's not that I don't get the achievement, it's that he gets hurt when there's no one around.

Just did a quick poke around, and it looks like some people are having your same problem while others arn't. Some kind of game issue. Haven't seen any solution, so you either have to keep trying (one guy got it after 47 tries) or you gotta poke around yourself.

I'm encountering this issue as well. Someone else on the Steam forums said to just retry over and over and over until it eventually unlocks. Took him about 50 tries.

I did it co-op and got it done in 1 try.

I'm having the same problem. When the last two helicopters spawn he instantly takes damage without even being hit

I was thinking which achievement this one was so I went to check it. And apparently I have done it and I haven't even noticed it yet. I didn't do any co-op, the game was on normal and I didn't have any cheats... so either I'm missing something or some people just have some trouble with it.
I didn't even realize there was that kind of an achievement so I didn't even try to protect him so much. Oh wow, I feel so bad now when so many people are having trouble and I'm too dense to realize there is an actual achievement for it...

I have actually noticed that when you try to do something you really want getting done, it's usually much harder. Too many life experiences with that.
But I hope you will get it eventually. I know how frustrating it can be when you have to repeat something over and over again. Thank God I was so lucky I didn't have to pop my own veins by repeating that mission. But then again I'm also trying to get 100 % so some of the challenges and achievements can be a little hard.

I had the same problem and today I obtained this achievement. Entire time I was playing full screen in full HD resolution and normal graphics. Sometimes I felt like game was slow, but no lags affecting gameplay. But I figured that this last missle may be caused by a lag, so I run SR3 in window, resolution 1360x768 and low details. Obtained this achievement in first try. You should try it.

I had similar difficulties in obtaining this achievement. While it is already quite a while ago, I believe to remember that a tank was responsible for the loss of health just before the end.

So I paid special attention to eliminating the final tanks as soon as they showed up and managed to eventually get it (without co-op).

I think you are right!

Once I could not complete a mission called Trouble with Belgian or something(I cannot remember the name). I was always killed by the brute because my computer ran slowly.

Then I terminated all other unessential progresses and I eventually competed the mission.

Well shoot it down fast as you can or use Steam Achievement Manager

I was in co-op when i got pass the belgian problem the same thing was happening to me
