Buy the package after owning the base game?
The pricing on this seems silly since it's cheaper to buy everything than it is to just buy a portion of the DLC.

If I buy the full package, will there be any problem since I already own the base game? Or will it just override what I already own and give me all the DLC? Are any of the DLCs that aren't in the Season Pass worth getting?

I figure for $2 extra, it's probably worth just getting everything.

I was wondering the same. I already own the base game, so if I buy the full package I want to know if everything stays the same except it adds the DLC for my game? It's just sounds plain stupid to purchase all DLC separately.

May as well get everything if you like the game. I bought the full package after getting the base game on Humble Bundle and didn't have any problems. If you're not sure, you could look at it as a small donation toward THQ in appreciation of what really is an excellent game.

My one issue is that I really, really enjoyed playing through the game before I had the DLC. I wish there was a way for all the new people buying the full package to play the game normally without having instant tempting access to special guns and vehicles. I wouldn't let that keep me from buying the whole thing, though. (Maybe if you already have the game, you can buy the full pack as a gift and then gift it to yourself when you're ready for the add-ons? I wonder if that would work.)

yeah i'd like to know that too. got saints row the third through humble bundle too and now i am confused if i should buy the full pack although i got the game already.

just an example. i already owned dungeon defenders (bought it as it was released) and now i got the dungeon defenders + all dlc pack from humble bundle. i registered that one with steam and although i already owned the game, all dlc has been added to my account but not the game itself (for gifting etc).

maybe this works with saints row too?

hm I think you ll be able to give it as a gift just like orange box,u buy it and if u already own half life 2 then just gift it,I mean I m not totally sure but thats my thinking:)

I'm now purchasing this full package allthough I already own the game. Its says me before purchasing

"Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package: According to our records, you already own one or more of the items included in this package on Steam. If purchasing for yourself, see the Extra Copies support article to determine whether the items you already own can be shared with friends."

There's also hyperlink to this url: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4502-TPJL-2656

So here everyone can read how it works.

...And before final purchase this came up

"You already own the following items in "Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package". You will not receive extra copies of these items when you complete this purchase:
Saints Row: The Third"

And all DLC added to my previously owned game.

seems like. still buying the complete pack WITH SRT3rd is still cheaper then buying all dlcs separatly although you don't get another copy of SRT3rd to gift.

So I wanted to buy the DLC it's a good deal for all of it, but I already owned SR3. So I purchased as a gift figuring I could activate it myself or gift it to myself, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to make that happen. I can't seem to do anything with it other than maybe send it to someone else. There's got to be a way to get all the DLC, even if I don't get another copy of SR3 to gift to someone? Didn't anyone at Steam think about this possibility before this sale?

Add to cart>Purchase as gift> Store the gift in my inventory to send later>Confirm your purchase

To add to your library
Community>Profile>Inventory>Steam tab>Click on SR3:Full Package> Add game to my library

If you already own SR3 or any other DLC then Steam will tell you that you won't get extra copies if you add the Full Package to your library. You'll get everything else.

Hope this helps!

When I do the above I get an error window that states "An error has occurred: Limit exceeded"

Next question: I live in Germany, THQ cut alot out of the game. I bought SR3 in the UK, because i like to play it uncut. Will de DLC be uncut or cut if i purchase the full package in the german store?

I assume that your base game would remain unchanged, and your account would have a lot of DLC for a version of the game that you do not own.
