SR3 missing game executable's fix!!!!! + no saves fix!

here is the problem.... when i tried to play the game it was showing the first launcher (the one that you then choose directx 9 or 10/11) and no matter which one i clicked on it did nothing. Then i found out (from my brother) that i was missing files.

Ok so here is instructions for the fix.... check your sr3 folder (steamapps\common\saints row the third)

do you have these files?
saintsrowthethird.exe
SaintsRowTheThird_DX11.exe

if you do this fix wont help you!

if you dont here are the files - {ENLACE ELIMINADO}http://www.mediafire.com/?8y9r79zuqsa098u

extract them to your sr3 folder....


validate cache and play.

Unfortunately, this wont help everyone! Sorry in advance.

I have this problem. I also had the exact same problem with Red Faction Armageddon. I found executables for that game that worked. I found executables for SR3 that didn't. Hopefully these work, because otherwise I'll need to try cracked exes and possibly miss out on coop with my friends.

These are the only two games I ever had problems with. Great job, Valve, THQ and Volition. Great effin' job.

Same here, SR3 and Red Faction are missing exe files...
It will not work with exes posted here (or any other) because of steams' CEG DRM,
basically every executable is unique to every user.
Yesterday I thought I've found a solution, but most dlcs were missing, so don't bother.
We need whoever is responsible to fix this.

PS I've also noticed that "saints row the third binaries.ncf" is missing in steamapps folder

If there's supposed to be a binaries.ncf file, I don't have it either. Now I'm wondering what other files we could be missing.

As far as CEG DRM, I don't think that's it. I got Red Faction to work with these executables: http://www19.zippyshare.com/v/39591219/file.html

i dont have red faction soory i cant help you..... but i just uploaded the "saints row the third.ncf" file and you can find it here if you need it! (nevermind ^_^)

im sorry if you cant play, im loving this game, i bought the full package at 50% off.... the next day it was 75% off. bastards icould have bought 2 copies! lol

Yes, you are right, Armageddon is working now,
but I've also noticed that game has replaced these exe files.
It figures that CEG, whenever finds someone else's files, replaces them.
Problem PARTIALLY solved for RF:A.

So, it looks like SR3 is totally broken, whoever is responsible needs to fix this.
I suggest contacting steam support, and telling them about missing files.

You've uploaded wrong file, I guess you are missing binaries.ncf too.

I contacted Steam Support. Having exhausted all the possibilities on my end, they said they'd do something on theirs. Now RFA is working perfectly fine and SR3 works with the executables from here (though they're still not downloading properly through Steam at the moment).

So uh, yeah. The solution may be to just hit up Steam Support with a ticket.

Well thanks there mate, some others have tried to contact steam support but got nowhere with them. so some people will have more luck with this game now. :)

I don't know exactly what they did. All I know is that I was prompted again to verify the game cache and lo and behold, RFA had to 'convert to a more efficient file system' or something along those lines. The old ncf files were scrubbed but the game worked. No clue what happened with SR3. Will keep you posted if I find anything.

Yup, RF:A is downloading differently and no ncf files are created anymore.
Looks like it's fixed for good, so let's just hope they will do the same with SR3 soon.

It's not a crack, it's the original files, just the content servers aren't downloading all the files to everyone.

thats not the same, i used cracked files to play, because original files wont work.
