SR3 missing game executable's fix!!!!! + no saves fix!

here is the problem.... when i tried to play the game it was showing the first launcher (the one that you then choose directx 9 or 10/11) and no matter which one i clicked on it did nothing. Then i found out (from my brother) that i was missing files.

Ok so here is instructions for the fix.... check your sr3 folder (steamapps\common\saints row the third)

do you have these files?
saintsrowthethird.exe
SaintsRowTheThird_DX11.exe

if you do this fix wont help you!

if you dont here are the files - {LINK REMOVED}http://www.mediafire.com/?8y9r79zuqsa098u

extract them to your sr3 folder....


validate cache and play.

Unfortunately, this wont help everyone! Sorry in advance.

i have another problem. i cant save the game and i can't find a fix for this in the internet.

does not work, but game goes to blackscreen than after 3sec it closes.
soon i try gamefiles from an installer dvd.

WTF, the game works with a crack, but not with original files, so the problem comes from steam :'(

It's working here. You might want to mention what this fix is supposed to fix.

i think its works only with a "faked" steam app id .dll or something else, so that means that saints row is not correctly unlocked for me and the other players

To get it working for me all i had to do was use the 2 exe's.... i didn't use a faked dll.

Yeah i know, i tried it out first by downloading the cracked version (i loved it) and then bought the game and spent several hours trying to figure out the problem.

Maybe they stuffed up the last update on the content servers. totaly steam's or THQ's fault!

that fix is for the no save game issue, added it to the first post (at the bottom)

yes offline mode doesnt make the game work/start

Not just the saving, now my sw3 is able to connet in steam cloud and work as it would =D. Well, i don't know if it have some relation with go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\saints row the third (the default folder, of course), and change the privileges of game_launcher.exe and saintsrowthethird_dx11.exe to administrator, in compatibility tab of its properties o_o.

those links are basically what the game installs by itself + nvidia physx and .net 3.5 + 4 (does the game even need those extra ones) what an odd thing for support to tell you to install.

Maybe you should send a support request straight to thq?

now i can play the game, with a cracked dx11 and dx9 and launcher exe and copyied all data from retail dvd to the steam folder of saints row. i dont understandt that, but it works now for me online and i can get achievments, dont ask me how the hell its works.
