SR3 Cheats/Reviving bug?

My Saints Row: The Third game is slightly messed up, and I'm not sure if anyone gets these issues either, but when (I've only tried in co-op) I open up the phone to type in cheats, if, as I'm typing the cheat in, I get shot, or something distracts the game from it, then the menu drops and I can't add cheats anymore. I have to reload the game, which is a pain if I'm playing co-op. I also get an issue where when I try and revive friends who are down, it usually takes quite a few tries to get them up, sometimes it doesnt even work. It just keeps stuttering through the animation.

Please if anyone has any suggestions to how I can fix this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you hold the action button long enough, even if the animation looks messed up. It happened to me once.
