Helicopter Controls?

I'm currently on the Penthouse mission, it goes fine until I have to enter the helicopter. All I can make it do is spin the rotors faster, it doesn't lift off or anything. Tried all the buttons I thought would make it go, but nothings happening. I'm using a keyboard, any tips? Thanks

This is a dumb question, did you hold down LShift to ascend? If so another thing go check your key bindings in the options, if its not assign to anything set it to LShift & if it is already assigned to LShift try a differen't key bind & see if that helps

I have to agree there. The first thing you should do on any game where you don't know the controls is to go into the keybindings and either A) see if there are keys bound to the controls you want -or - B) Just see what the keys are.

In answer to your question, my keys were set to Lshift to ascend and space to decend.

You necro'd a post from 10 years ago that I don't even remember. Either way I admit I could of worded it better and not been an ass about it but I referred to the question as dumb because anyone who plays games on a regular would know where to first look for a keybind. I'm sorry OP.
