Does anyone know why the game is so buggy lately??

I've been playing this game for years but for some reason it's been really buggy lately. I've experienced crashes, performance issues, audio issues and the main issue is the constant FREEZING!!

Does anyone know why this has happened?? I feel like I'm losing my mind...

WHAT??? I just retested on WIndows 7 and 11. NO ISSUES!!!

It is not the game , it is what you are attempting to run it on's issue.

I feel like it's an issue on your end, because the game has worked fine for me over the years.

It's a common issue, it happened to me too but somehow after deleting and redownloading it like 5 times, it fixed the issue and I can play the game no problem.

I’ve heard that this game wasn’t well optimized for computers and was mainly made to run on consoles, I dunno if thats right but thats what I saw on one form about this issue.

It may be stuttering because the "My Steelport service" shutdown and the game repeatedly attempts to connect this now-defunct My Steelport service.

Edit hosts file by going to %WINDIR%\System32\drivers\etc

Open the hosts file with a text editor running as administrator.
Add the line: 127.0.0.1 sr3.hydra.agoragames.com and save the file.
