How to fix Xbox 360 Controller?

The game has all the bindings wrong with the Xbox 360 Controller, it worked fine before.

This is not a problem with the controller, it works fine in all the other games.

After looking online seems the developers broke controller support during recent patches and never cared to fix them.

Guess I'll never play this game ever again.

Controller support was never broken in any patch. You most likely either have another controller type plugged in that is getting misidentified by the game like a joystick, flight pedals, racing wheel, etc. Or you have some kind of controller emulation software running like vjoy, motionjoy, x360ce.

I'm using the Official Xbox 360 Controller (wired) and there's no other devices plugged-in, the controller works fine in all the other games I have.

The keybindings in this game are all wrong, including the joysticks.

Then you most likely have some kind of controller emulation installed/running that is changing the keybinds.

I don't, this is a clean W7 installation and I only use the official Xbox 360 Controller (Wired) that installs automatically.

Have you already tried resetting all your keybindings to default in-game?

I have the same problem. 3 Days ago all was fine and I played SR3 for years with wireless xbox360 gamepad. 2 Days ago it got broken. I didn't change anything but now the gamepad works not correct in SR3. It starts in the main menu. Normally you use the left stick to navigate in the menu but now I must use the right stick and it is up/down inverted. Now the X button is A WTF happened? The only changes was Windows 10 update and Steam Update. How can I fix it now? :(
The in-game control is also totally wrong.

It is a known issue among the community, developers broke controller support with some update.

Found about this after looking online, considering you're still having the problem it's safe to say they'll never fix it.

The Xbox App doesn't mess with the controller whasoever, not to mention of all the games I have (some even older than this), this is only one with this problem.

Another fact is, this only happened after the last few updates they released cause I always played this game with Controller (Official Xbox 360 Controller).

It's not affecting everyone sure, but it's affecting lots of people (there's multiple discussions of this with no word from the developers).

I uninstalled the xbox controller driver, reinstalled it again, reboot pc and now the problem is fixed. :)
That was a strange bug.
