Xbox One Controller Support

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to play this game with the Xbox One Controller, but it seems the game doesn't recognize it. Surprisingly this controller works out of the box with SR4 and other Steam games, but not in this particular case. So here's what I've tried so far:

Steam Big Picture options, with various settings and community layouts.
Xbox 360 Controller Emulator.
SmartSteamEmu (with this option the game recongizes the controller, but the buttons and joysticks are messed up. I tried this with and without x360ce).
Unplugging my mouse (which has some sort of configurable buttons).
Unplugging the controller and plugging again inside the game.
Checking file integrity.
Reinstalling the game.
Xpadder (this works, but is the worst thing to play on, since it maps keyboard and mouse to the controller, instead of using the controller by itself).
Wired and wireless.

Has anyone got this controller to work in this game? If so, please let me know.

Weird, My 360 Controller works fine for all the saints rows. Try Xpadder

I Know you have a XBone controller, thats why i said weird since saints row supports 360 controllers you shouldnt be having much of a problem. Also why do you say Xpadder is "the worst to play on" ? Do you not know how to set deadzone sensitivity & Mutli Directional Mapping for Analog sticks?

I Know you have a XBone controller, thats why i said weird since saints row supports 360 controllers you shouldnt be having much of a problem. Also why do you say Xpadder is "the worst to play on" ? Do you not know how to set deadzone sensitivity & Mutli Directional Mapping for Analog sticks?

I already set deadzone sensitivity and multi directional mapping, but it does work the same way as Steam Controller mapping layout for keyboard/mouse, and some controller interfaces (like weapon switch) doesn't show up.

On SR4 (as in SR3), to switch weapons you hold b then move analog stick on the left. I can't achieve that with Xpadder.

My Steam Controller works with this, so I'm really surprised that you can't get your controller to work with Xbox Controller Configuration Support turned on. From the game's point of view it should be virtually identical.

Other thing you might try is: Go in Windows Store and search for the App : Xbox Accessoires and install it. I have an Xbox Elite controller but it might do the trick.

If Chome ask for translation to your language from dutch say yes

This did work for me for 1 game in the past. Maybe you tried it already, but does not hurt to share ideas. My Xbox One Elite controller does work in Saints Row the Third.

This worked, but buttons and joysticks are messed up, like I shoot with start and A/B are swapped, aim with select, joysticks are, besides inverted, swapped out... The same thing happened when I launched the game with SteamEmu.
