Gun and periscope operation.
I play seated and apart from the fact that I am only 3 feet tall in the game as a result, I try to use the deck gun or periscope and have major problems.

Both the deck gun and periscope whip back to their default position as soon as I let go of the handles. This is really annoying because, in the case of the deck gun, you have two controls to use, direction and elevation. You can't hold both wheels to stop them resetting back to their default position AND pull the firing handle as well. Sadly, I do not live near Chernobyl and therefore, have yet to grow an extra arm or two.

With the periscope, I have to hold the handle to keep it where I want it, but I are unable to swap hands if you grab it with the one hand and pull it around 180 degrees. It should at least remain where it is so I can swap hands. The switches are also very tricky to operate and taking my eyes off the target to look at the switch to lock the target can result in turning the periscope off the target. Again, I can't let go or change hands because it whips back around to the default position.

I refunded because of these problems that made it almost impossible for me to play it.

In what mission were you experiencing the periscope and gun resetting their position? This is not intended behavior and not how it should work outside of the tutorial where controls that aren't relevant to the tutorial step are reset when you let go of them. So this might be a bug, it would be useful if you could give us some more information about what steps you took to get that behavior as we've so far been unable to reproduce it.

It was in the tutorial. Using the periscope, trying to rotate the periscope 180 degrees to target the ship. You have to hold it steady while you locate the switch to lock the target, if you let go, it spins back to its default position.

Also in the tutorial, the machine gun works as intended and doesn't move when you let go, but the deck gun whips back to the default position if you let go of the wheel before firing it. Once you've fired the deck gun, it stays where it is when you let go.

I'm using a HTC Vive in case that makes any difference.
Intel i5 - 7500 3.4ghz
Geforce gtx1060 6Gb
Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
32Gb Ram
Game installed on SSD.

The game also needs a height adjustment so you can play seated without the character appearing to be only 3 feet tall.

I have the valve index system and have similar problems, when on deck in the tutorial the machine gun snaps back to center if I let go, also I can adjust pitch and yaw at same time if I hold each of those controls, but if I try to fire I have to let go of one of those controls which swings the gun back to start position, It is like I need three hands all at once holding the gun to use it.

If you install the advanced Open VR settings overlay you can adjust your "height" in steam VR so that your seated height is at normal standing level. https://github.com/matzman666/OpenVR-AdvancedSettings
