Is standing required?

Hello. Okay, I did read the descriptions carefully, and I know the game does say room scale or standing, but can anybody respond if the settings can be tweaked to allow for sitting, i.e. height adjustment.
Just asking, I do have a feeling standing is a requirement, but if anyone who owns the game can shed some light on this, appreciated!

I just did a quick test, without completely redoing my room setup, and there seems to be no reason you could not play this game sitting down. As long as you can use your oculus touch controllers normally, nothing should stop you.

To play this way you will have to turn off the "roomscale locomotion" setting in the game options. Then your thumb sticks become a mini-teleport, forward and back, left and right and the other stick rotates your character at 90 degree angles.

The only thing that might be tricky is using the deck gun efficiently. I rarely use it anyway, at the first air alarm I dive immediately.

Vandal, thank you very much for your efforts in testing this out for me. I do have the Vive. I guess I can always try it, they have that two hour return policy. Just seems standing would get so tedius after awhile for a game like this.

I use a stool sometimes - lets me sit, but my head is still at a normal standing height. Plus my chord doesn't get snagged like it does on my normal office chair.

Maybe commanding a sub isn’t your cup of tea. It was rare in those days to repair leaks from a comfy chair.
