I also have another build i use with my poison LS. Soga no Iruka, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro, Akechi Mitsuhide. This build also allows for quick destroyers, keeping your HP up with status aliments, more damage with status. I only have a T5 poison sword (Oni Slicer: Shadow) but will use Kondo Isami's sword which is LS's T6 poison sword.
Most of the AI party members behave similarly, but there are a few standouts with cool abilities.
Tōya: My protector and bae. Taunt, Shield, and Barrier. He's used Taunt to peel enemies off of me, and he dies less than the other AI. Tōya with a Barrier up means I don't have to worry about reviving anyone. #1 AI babysitter. His defense is awesome in high-rank. I am in no way biased because he's hot. Nope.
Tsubaki: She directly boosts the player's attack and defense, and she's used Diffusion and Sacrifice pretty well in the past. Definitely tied with Tōya for my favorite.
Tokitsugu: He tends to die a lot, but he's good at rooting enemies in place. He has Curse and Absorb bullets.
Manazuru: She dies a lot, and the AI doesn't use HLG abilities very well, but they still help. She's worth taking, but I don't feel she's essential. For a support-oriented character, I actually prefer Tsubaki.
Sōma: PLN club user. It's like pepperoni on pizza.
Raizō: There's just something about a big, burly man Randoming into Vitality that is comedy gold to me.
Off topic a little, I noticed the ai commands tend to be a little bugged out whenever I load the game. For example, manazuru(aid) just stops focusing on running to me to use vitality, even when I was low on hp. Before someone asks, no, it wasn't on cooldown or zero vitality charges left since it was a fresh mission. I had to reassign the ai command back to 'aid', just to get her to do what I intended her to, it's weird. It's as if whenever I load the game, the ai commands get resetted back to 'free', even though the visual ai command beside the character bar shows otherwise.
Kamuna : Purifying machine (also cooldown booster)
Tokitsugu : Mascot and SNP grenade
