Game length
I will try to make it short, played toukiden, played kiwami, toukiden was preeeety short for a mh-like game and toukiden gave it a lot of life (almost double story length, and the extra modes, weapons etc).

I'm mainly concerned about the game length, about how many hours does it take to get to end game and get the highest rarity equipment, not about getting all the mitamas and collecting all the special weapons for each type.

So for anyone who has played or knows:

1.- More or less how long is the game compared to Toukiden and Kiwami.
2.- Are the special crafting weapons (the ones u needed mitamas to craft) back in the second one?

A lot, defintely more than the typical 10 to 20 hours that you pay $60 USD for nowadays.

My guess it will be around 150 hours to 300 hours depending on how completionist and casualness is the gamer. Toukiden kiwami took me 188 hours to get everything and have bought the DLC mission sets, and I'm a pretty good and hardcore gamer...

The online aspect of the game also expands the gameplay since it's open world and you can actually stash/donate stuff for other gamers to pick up. (Also a flaw for PC since it allows hacker/cheater to mess up the game. E.g picking up corrupted stuff that crashes your game...)

Yeah you really should be playing the original more. A major portion of the game involved getting and trying out weapons and mitama. There is an even greater focus on this in 2 with multiple ways to grow your weapons giving purpose to making multiple copies and more mitama customization due to 2 new skill slots, all at the cost of game length (also its not an expansion like talking about MH4's game length and comparing it to MH3U)

This series is not about just getting to the end like most seem to do for MH.

Also something i should mention is the trading system will only get you stuff of equal quality so you can't do a Beginner weapon and get an endgame

Forge weapon list i posted here a few days back
