I can't use my gampad on MX vs ATV Reflex

Bought a gamepad because the controls are too hard on keyboard but the gamepad doesn't work when i try it on Reflex

What kind of gamepad did you buy? This game only natively supports Xbox 360 gamepads. A workaround is to use x360ce, an emulator for using direct input controllers with xinput only games.

I Bought cheap Gametech double twin (really cheap) to start with and it only works on TF2

Give x360ce a shot. Run x360ce.exe to configure and map your controls to match the xbox controls and save the profile. Then copy the two files x360ce.ini and xinput1_3.dll to your MX vs ATV Reflex root directory (default location is C:Program Files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/MX vs ATV Reflex). Now when you launch the game it should think your gamepad is an xbox360 gamepad and work like normal. If that doesn't work you can try using something like xpadder to map the gamepad buttons to keyboard presses and the analog sticks to the mouse.

Your probably better off just getting an xbox360 gamepad (the regular xbox360 version, they're identical to the ones labeled for Windows but usually $10-$20 cheaper in the US) or something like a Logitech F310 that has xinput support.

It'll probably be cheaper in the long run to just buy a microsoft branded xbox360 controller because you'll know it will work on the games that have controller support instead of guessing which games will work with your other gamepads

The Logitech F310 has a toggle switch on it to switch between directinput and xinput. It'll work with pretty much any game. The op is from Norway so getting an official xbox 360 gamepad might be a little pricey. Officially licensed third party xbox 360 gamepads work on PC with the regular xbox 360 gamepad drivers if you can find a decent one for cheap. I use a Thrustmaster GPX and it works great.

i'll probely won't buy another gamepad if i have the difficulty on MX vs ATV Reflex on Amatuer i'ts easy enough but thanks for the help!

360 would be a good cheap bet . unless you play ps3 then it will feel really awkward

it all installs fine shows green and the controller is on but the game wont start says " encountered a problem" i removed the files game starts right up any ideas?
