PS4 controller not working?

i have a PS4 controller, and i use my phone charger to connect it to my computer,
Works for spintires, the crew, and many other games. but not this one.
it does NOT work at all, cant even change the controlls with it. it works perfectly in other games altho,
do i need a xbox 360 controller?
Anyhelp would be nice?

i think you might just need xpadder, not sure though as i dont own any controllers

This game only supports xinput so you need to use x360ce[www.x360ce.com] if you're not using a controller that natively supports xinput such as an xbox360/xbone gamepad or something like a Logitech F310/F710 that can switch between xinput and direct input.

Before I bought a 360 controller, I used x360ce with a Dual Shock 2 controller via an adapter for years without any problems.
