Obj import with mtl file
Hello community, is it possible to import textures also from other programs that creat a .mtl file .
For instance rhino has the option to export obj with mtl. Is there some special options to be ticked, the correct import seems to not work for me currently. Objects appear in default white.. any help is greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue with OBJs from Blender. The solution was simple to copy the texture files into the same folder as your .obj and .mtl and make sure they are in .jpg format

If you hold the object you can change its colour to something easier on the eye!

Thanks for the hint, are you referring to the .mtl file that has to be in .jpg format "on the inside" ?

OBJ files should support .obj, mtl and any linked .jpg or .png textures. Make sure the MTL file does not contain incorrect or hard links to the textures, I would recommend making sure everything can stay inside a single folder to make sure the importer can correctly track down all the necessary files
