Even if you're not interested in pvp, tbh even the content we have is nowhere near endgame. Being able to clear souls 10 quickly is simply a prereq to True Orochi later, for instance. But again, as to when we get further content is really anyone's guess.
I am still llv 47, so yes, I could try to go for lv60, which would be months of grinding... but for what?
Ok, it is good to know that there is more content (I assume in the Asian market) already existing... but progress here is rather slow.
And the game is still quite unbalanced... some story missions (all the Doji ones) are so much more difficult than the rest... needed months to beat lv20 or 21, and then made lv22-25 on first try easily.
Also, SSRs are just too rare... I have 3, and neither Ootengu, or the Dojis, luckily I had Yoto Hime, and she made me progress in the end... but as a free-to play player, I dont see tis changing, and I have other games (in fact more than 200) still waiting to be played... and now there is little reason to continue... I will llilely watch for updates, and later join again, but grinding is just too much for too little gain...
The story I never really found to be unbalanced. Are you using a team of all dps or do you use any support? When I got stuck usually what made everything far easier was upgrading + adding support. The souls you give your shiki are the most important part of the game, and this holds true in any and all content.
Either way from the sounds of the it, it doesn't seem like the game is really your cup of tea. You're only in it for story, which does not release often even for other servers, and you're not interested in much anything else, which is quite a core part of the game. The grind is quite literally never ending in Onmyoji, you will never stop grinding. I would simply suggest putting the game aside. Onikiri will come eventually with a large chunk of story involving the Minamoto clan and Shuten and Ibaraki Douji, but this is still a long way off for global. Kohaku will eventually be an ssr shikigami as well and there will be a subplot involving a younger Seimei, but again this is quite a ways off.
I'll lean towards what the person above me is saying. The story content in this game is quite short and will most likely leave you hanging. If you have no desire to do souls 10, get high ranking in world boss or pvp, I'd say find something else to focus your time on. Up to you. :)
