shaman

i have been trying to play as shaman, i have made some other discussions, but i just wanted to ask wich class is better for pve solo, and pve when boosting a friend. also to ask if the dragon shaman is worth it since i am not seeing much difference getting hit with the protection against melee attacks, it doesnt really seem usefull and if crit is better than healing and attack up. everything considered i play for pve so can someone tell me wich is better for pve solo and pve with a friend as stated above?
