What's so good about this game?

in 2007, like every kid in turkey and polonia playing metin2. now 2007 kids grown up and they give a one more chance for a steam edition.

i was 14 in 2007. internet cafes are always full just for this game.

That's not everything. There is a big misconception about the game being pay to win. Definitely disagree. You can farm your way up to be #1 easily. It's pay to speed up, not to win. I played many mmorpg's over the years. None that i liked as much as metin. Game has an amazing feel to it. And i'd still recommend for everyone to start and/or atleast give it a go. Learn the basics of it and then judge it.

This game is very unique. It has a skill system like no other. Simple and crazy good. Every single skill can be upgraded to be 5x stronger than the basic. It's item system was ahead of it's time as well, many games coppied it later on, upgrading items from +0 to +9(I believe it was first created in metin - Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe i'm not.). PVE is insanely enjoyable, 1 against a 100. Massive mob killing sprees. PVP: Basically in other games the only way to be strong if you're max level for PVP... NOT THE CASE HERE! There can be a lvl 30 character stronger than 80. How? If you developed your skills, and if you got very strong gear. You can easily fight against people that are way above your level. This is a game where you can create your 1 man army character. 1 man with very good pvp gear can kill a dozen of other! Item progression reaches much much further than many other mmorpg's. The whole world has open PVP, almost every single spot anywhere. There are few safe zones in cities, and that's it. You can litteraly attack anyone anywhere. All you have to do is go to options click two times, and that's it!. There are definitely many more things that make this game stick out, and that are unique but i won't list them all. Now tell me this isn't worth giving a go. Peace out.. Even fishing is fun!

Dude, read what i wrote in detail. You don't know what pay to win is obviously... Pay to win is a concept where you can only have the best sh*t in game if you pay. f.e If the best items in game are locked away by payment. That's not the case here, you can probably scrub off some pretty good items if you pay, but the same way you can also earn them if you play, and invest your time. Waiting for your next bullsh*t comment. And yes, the game has issues with bots.

No, again you're being a monkey... Metin2 is a free to play game. 95% of players are playing without any payments, such as myself. That's obviously not the case, and definitely not the reason why so many people play it. People play metin simply because it's a good game, even with some issues it has. You can't even farm since most spots in every map is taken by bots, but you can be an as*hole like me and steal their items because why the f*ck not.
It's not jealousy, it's called truth. A truth that every addicted Metin2 player denies.

Dude you know you can farm mounts right? :D from 19:00-21:00 gmt1 everyday :D and every map is not taken by bots everywhere and if you see a botter you go report him most of the times they will get banned fast :D so pls stop saying its pay2win when as without spending any cash you can easy get far in this game just use your brain a bit :D not that hard even to make money in the game basicly try to make a farmer get some +6 gear and do lvl 5-10-15 metins pretty easy because there is not many people in map 1 when you have gotten a bit higher and gotten a mount from the metins you can go hunt map 2 metin stones or you can killed jak to's they give piece of gem you can sell each for around 150-180k atm you can even fish at lvl 30 fish is around 15-20k each clam is 350-400k and skill books is from 5k-1.5kk so pretty easy to start out its all about luck

Game have players because it is addictive and makes you think you have a chance, until you try and fail, just think about it, to upgrade an item from +8 to +9 you have a 10-7% chance, and unless you're paying 2.5kk (which, in the begging is very hard to get, until you get lv30 and spend the whole day minning) for every item upgade you have a 90% chance to lose it forever, and even paying, you still can fail the upgrade and item will lose one level, so you can imagine what's about this game. If you're willing to pay real money for the ingame currency then I recommend you to play, if not, well you'll have to spend lots of hours to get some acceptable (and not good) items. As an example, with my experience (I have many, many hours more than you can see here on steam, over 1000 for sure) in the 115 hours I have on steam I did a fresh start, from 0, and everything I could get is Lv35, an LV18 armor +9 which is acceptable (Haven't so good bonus), and a lv30 sword (Which is one of the best on the game tbh) which is very good, have a good damage (there are many variants of it, mine is, to say it like this, like on the top 25% which have a big damage (FMS with 38% for those who knows about the game) , but I'm not able to get it to +9, as I'm trying to upgrade it, for example, today, it was +5, bought 4 upgrades (10kk), and guess what: 1st: Fail, +4, 2nd: Worked, +5 again, 3rd: fail +4, 5th +5 again. And that is how you lose like 5-6 hours mining for absolutely nothing. From these hours you see I have ingame here in steam, most of them were spent mining to get those TWO items, and the rest to lvl and do some misions which are obligatory.

And about the hackers, game is FULL, what they're saying up there about "if you see a botter you go report him most of the times they will get banned fast :D" is completly fake, you can ask for a GM to send you a PM for HOURS in the announce chat and they will ignore you. And when you send a ticket nothing happens, as you can't prove you're really playing on the official server by any way, not even recording, I don't really know what they do when you send a ticket, I suppose they just take a look at that player on any random moment and if they catch it they will ban it, if not well nothing. Right now I can get in game and in 1 minute I'm able to find you like 3 or 4 hackers, one in every channel of every farming place. Once, while searching for a friend I found hackers on EVERY CH, there are 6, all six, at that place where I was searching my friend were ocuppied by hackers. I tell you this as something special because normally they don't usually play on CH1, but looks like I got a bingo that day lol.

I'm pretty sure that what you refer to bots is the game's new feature Auto-farm. Press K ingame. There are some hackers as well.. The ones that get mob aggro all around them, as if they were spamming bravery capes non stop, easy to spot. Pest of the game..

the overall score got affected that much because of no global server at launch :D but yeah if the global server was a launch it would have been better rating and dude you get nothing out of screaming in all chat gm pls pm me ooh there i someone hacking go to the support site ffs and just use the weapons you get given from gameforge ffs you get one every 10 lvl :D the fms you only need it you got like 45+ avg :D

And after 15 days? I'm making a Lv35 farming character. No one is crying, I never sent a message calling for a GM because I've already seen players doing it for hours.

Nope,Only 1-2 thousand players are playing this game and these players have x1 x2 x3...x999 multi accounts for merchant or something thats why online number is high.
