BSOD IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL when starting the game

this is the first time i have ever encountered this issue and disabling my AV software like microsoft recommends on the stopcodes page did not fix it. is there anyone else experiencing the same issue or have information pertaining to what might cause this?

Blue screen errors usually occur due to driver. Check your outdated drivers and update manually. If you're using a notebook, Control Center or Touchpad drivers may also be the reason for the blue screen. Also, reinstalling Windows will usually fix blue screen errors, but you'll need to manually update all driver updates after installation.
I can't think of another solution now. 🤔

1/ Update drivers, easy tool DRIVER BOOSTER iobit, free version is fine (as Jiays says)
2/ Run BURNINTEST afterwards, it will run hardware and driver tests, if all OK try BS again.
3/ Run system integrity checks with SFC and DISM (google the commands) from ADMIN prompt.
4/ Disable defender in Windows, try the 32 bit.

amd 6300 with turbo on from 3.5 to 3.8 ghz, driver booster says all up to date. and my xfx rx 580 XXX GTS 8 gb is up todate. will run through the burnintest and sfc/dism tests to make sure.

I have the same problem. It gets better when I disable Amd Radeon software.

im having BSOD too on black squad only all my drivers and windows is updated the only solution i found is to format my pc and install a fresh OS and drivers

I did system restore, I am updating radeon. As if there is no problem right now. I think this is kind of a virus or firewall problem ...

did you found a fix after 2 years?? I got the same problem since today with exact the same BSOD. Whenever I tyr to start steam with my Main Acc it freezes and I am getting that Bluescreen. When I start it with my Smurf Acc It is normal for me

i still got it after upgrading to a ryzen 3 3200g and just quit trying. ive got a ryzen 5 3600x now and may try again but it seems to be the game does not like AMD systems.
