BattlEye false positive
Got kicked from a game today by BattlEye,.. because DropBox update was running in the background. Proof in picture:

Come on,.. everyone has DropBox installed on his/her machine, and it has nothing to do with games. What's next, getting kicked because you've got a System32 folder on your PC?

I have some ShadowWarrior savegames in my DropBox, could that be it?

DropBox wasn't even running when i got kicked.

It could be that BattkeEye detected access to game files by a non-game application (DropBox).

A typical way of cheating is to change the content of game files between the startup check (maintenance button on launcher) and the actual launch of the game. I assume BattlEye is checking that.

That could be a reason. maybe.

Yeah, but it's still weird.

Dropbox should not be accessing anything outside of its assigned directories, especially when it's nor running, nor should BattleEye be prying into processes or directories that have nothing to do with the game's.

Especially with an office use application as prevalent as DropBox, it's stupid for this to become an issue.

I'm not sure who to blame :)

BattlEye blocks my Nokia Phone files, so I'm not surprised they would block DropBox.
The main problem is the lack of code-sign, where an application send a certein code-sign where it proves to be trusty.
it will not fix bro. i got this message many times before.

the only fix is to reinstall your windows 7 again and it will not appear

Had this issue waaay back during the CBT period - it went away by itself by the time the next patch came around. BTW, if your internet connection is spotty, there's a chance BE will kick you for that as well (lol).
