Whats a good class to play? Also any general tips?
Whats the best class to play overall for someone who well, plays at odd hours when it may be hard to get people to play with? I used to always pick mages cuz of the self heal wayyy back when I used to play.

Any general tips for me to help me start off? its been a LOOONG time since i've played this game and i've bascally forgotten everything.

I personally feel mages are still very strong and best for solo play! Also even if your on late at times the server is pretty populated at the moment so I still think you will find people to play with :D!

The only tips I can offer is that you do your story quests, AoT which is Arena of Talents on Chn 4 and of course IC any time you get the chance! You get money, exp , rep, and gold =)!

Based on my experience

Mages: If you plan on doing a lot of solo play, you also get light sp at lvl 46 for smooth sailing to lvl 70~80. compared to archers and warrior, feel that our damage might be somewhat lower than theirs towards late game(stopped around 85ish on UK).

Archer: You deal a lot of DPS and pretty much everyone of your SP cards are usable, you might have a hard time staying alive but that's what pots are for.

Warrior: I've played this the least(stopped at 58 on UK) you can deal decent DPS and can tank a lot with a healer providing buffs/heals.

Just try them all out and see what you like most.
Nostale has much content in every level and you will most likely start a new character from time to time to participate in low level stuff; just take a different class each time and see what you like.
Furthermore, you can play a character to about lv40 (e.g. trying out the first specialist a little bit and unlocking all his skills) in about a week or two, and if you don't like the class, you won't have wasted that much time (the second run to lv40, if you already know the quests, will be much faster).
