번역 관련 문제 보고
You can press the space bar to attack the closest target and do nothing else, but you can't let your computer do the pressing automatically.
I'm not asking about how macros work and if they are better than manual work, I'm asking how is pressing one button, and pressing one button multiple times any different.
The normal player will not be able to push exactly every XX milliseconds to constantly attack, he will have some delay, he might need to use the restroom or some sleep, etc.
In this way, you are able to farm and level 24/7, without even being present (yes, collecting dropped items when farming is also just pushing a single button - X in this case; or you have your pet doing it for you).
Furthermore, you can also collect annoying quest items (e.g. the gras for the lv28 or so quest) without even being present, and then selling them to other players (I just saw a shop a few hours ago selling over 1000 grass - not sure if the player got it legally...).
So allowing for such makros, and even if it is just spamming a single key, is an unfair advantage.
Furthermore, we need to draw the line somewhere. If we allow makros in some cases and don't allow them in others, then every single player getting banned can claim that his use was in the allowed case, the GMs will be very busy checking every last such case (instead of right now, where you could ban them automatically).
So you're saying that shortcuts like "Space" to attack people or "[Insert bind]" to pick up items should be removed from the game?
Interesting.
I said that you shouldn't make your computer press it 24/7, as that would give you an unfair advantage over a real person, who needs sleep, need to go to work/school, etc.
If you press it that is totally ok, if you use a program to do the pressing for you, that is not ok - it's just that simple.
And before you ask: Yes, also a physical construction that lowers a weight onto the space bar every .5 seconds is forbidden; we had this discussion multiple times in the forum already.^^
Well normal person is actually the one who is at disadvantage since he has little time and still wants to play the game without spending much time at leveling his job lvl...
