Umineko: Golden Fantasia

Umineko: Golden Fantasia

Characters for beginners
Hi everyone. I'm having a hard time finding out what characters are good to start with this game. I've settled on Beato but I dunno who else seems easy enough to learn other than Battler.

Some background is I've only ever played mvc3 for 2d fighter, and that was years ago and i wasn't that good it was just a little here and there so I'm inexperienced. Any other tips would be great!

I'm a big fan of Jessica. One of her moves is "mash button get ora ora"

I haven't tried every character and am not particularly good at fighting games, but I did pretty well with Rosa on medium difficulty. Her moveset may not be particularly interesting and just spamming her gun may get dull, but you don't need big combo, there's no weird mechanic (you just need to reload before you shoot) and I found the gun so weighty that it's very satisfying anyway.

Hey. I know you are not obligated to keep your name spoiler free, but since it reveals a massive spoiler in Umineko and could ruin the surprise for some people, you may want to reconsider.

you're right. I selected the name back around 2013 ish I believe when it was far morr obscure. After work I'll try to remember and get around to that. Thanks for the tips tho.

Battler is the Ryu character and his Meta gives the team healing. 410 moveset is mostly projectiles and relies most on her normals in close range. Beatrice has various tools for any situation including her Meta super taking different approaches (Along a free super to spend by her ability). Jessica is all close combat and her moveset is easy to make combos together with.

I personally think Eva is good for beginners. Erika also might be one, but she is hard to master completely, but I think you should try all characters a bit and see who you feel most comfortable with first.

Battler and Dlanor.

Dlanor is a command-grab character with easy setups. Her command grab completely ignores the damage-scaling debuff and will always do the damage it advertises.

Battler and Dlanor have nearly the highest HP in the game as a team, very few characters(ronove is the only one that comes to mind actually) can compete with their HP pool.

Furthermore, Dlanors ability grants a 50% reduction to damage when it is up, combine this with Battlers healing and you can make a lot more mistakes than other characters.

Dlanor has a projectile shield, it's a cast-and-forget type that simply blocks nearly all projectiles. Ranged characters pose little threat to her.

Battler has the easiest approach attacks, good pressure tools, great offensive capability....Battler is basically the top-tier character of the game. He goes beyond simply beying the ''Ryu'' of the game.
