Patch Notes v2.41.0.1
Release Candidate 1 (RC1) v2.41.0.1 is the current version.

This build contains the following:
- New overhauled netplay system, rollback netplay.
- Steam Auto-Matchmaking and lobby access.
- English Localized Scripts by MangaGamer in Conjunction with Witch Hunt.
- The entire expansion game (CROSS) and latest Japanese patches included.
- An entire poverty/anime fighting game community on discord[discord.gg] to help you with any issues you experience while playing.
- A Debug Mode for analyzing the implementation of rollback netplay.

The features we intend to implement over the next couple weeks include:
- Achievements
- Enabling Rating Points Mode
- Trading Cards once we hit the appropriate sales limit with your help!

Bugs we already know about and are working on are:
- Audio duplication for sound effects affecting some users. This will be fixed in the next two weeks.
- Netplay desyncs, especially when playing between users of different regions. Please see the desync thread to help us improve.
- An issue with the win/loss counting on the Steam Lobby. This occurs due to a small desync right before the round e nds on some systems, not affecting the match but potentially the lobby count. Investigating now.
- The game may run at the wrong speed if your monitor settings are incorrect. Change your monitor refresh rate to 60hz if it's 75hz or 144hz by default. We will keep working on this issue
- Direct connects might cause a disconnect after the match.

TL's that were not properly integrated on release, and will be worked on for the first patch:
- Command list/moveset.
- Ending Credits/After Story
- Black Battler locked/unlocked System Messages
- Prompt to save replays.
- System voice unlock messages
- Music tracklist.

If you are experiencing any bugs, please report them here, along with your "debug.log" file from your Steam folder, likely under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Umineko Golden\.

If you need technical support with getting the game working, or need help on topics such as installation, please e-mail support@mangagamer.com or ask fellow players for help in the #general room on our community discord.

I'll repost here my current problems from another thread:

I cannot activate fullscreen or change resolutions in configuration tool. These options are greyed out and I'm only allowed to play the game in windowed mode, which uses a really small window. Maximizing the window will show very pixelated graphics. Why is this happening and how can I play the game in fullscreen with proper resolution?

Also, I know there's a sticky about this, but my laptop's display is 75Hz, making the game run slightly faster than normal. On Nvidia control panel I see no option to set it down to 60Hz, with 75Hz being the only available option. There's NO other frequency available in the respective drop-down list. Any other way I can play this at normal speed? Will the game ever be fixed to not be tied to screen refresh rate? Please say "yes" or "maybe" :(

EDIT: Some specs:
Windows 10 64bit
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Native 1920x1080 @75Hz

Could be hardware related. Some hardware restricts functions like resolution change (though usually this gives you instead black around a centered window), or refresh rate as they think any other than the default would give "worse" results.

So the solution is, buy a better laptop.

They should fix it so it isn't based on screen refresh rate though, as it is obvious it will cause disconnects if a person who runs 60 events and a person who runs 75 events will desync.

That's not a good solution, as my problem clearly has nothing to do with laptop quality. My laptop is relatively recent and probably better than most people's machines, unless they have expensive gaming-centric ones. I'll edit my other post with some specs later.

As for the refresh rate, there should indeed be desyncs if there's no slow down on the faster side to compensate (which many games do feature, but I haven't tried it here yet). However, I've experienced many game ports that were so closely tied to refresh rate that fixing that required writing code from scratch. If that's also the case here, I wouldn't hold my breath, but I still obviously hope they do fix it, or I might have to refund :(

It says in this sticky that they're working on this actually, so hopefully they manage to pull through.

Recent doesn't matter. It is more a question about budgets and the ideals of the manufacturer. I had an Acer tablet that they had firmware stating I was not allowed to fullscreen games. And that is only like 4 years ago. I had to buy an entirely new tablet just to be allowed to do something as simple as fullscreen.

But you should have seen the same problem on all other games you own, if it is hardware related. So you can easily try it out with other games and then ignore it if it is only this game that has issues.

Display FPS don't work.

I'm noticing some issues with special move input priority. For example, with Lucifer 4214+any button makes the 421 (teleport) special come out instead of the drill. Even doing 463214 doesn't work. It makes it very difficult to do a QCB/214 special while walking backwards. This is also true for characters that have both a QCF/DP (236/623) motion.

I think its a combination of both the priority and the input leniency on them.

I thought there wasn't anything on the subject in the OP yesterday when I checked this thread, but it's possible I might just have missed it :steamfacepalm:
Thanks for pointing it out, and I'm really glad to know there's still hope! Meanwhile, any suggestions for workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

If I only said it was "recent", yes you would have a point, but I briefly mentioned it's a pretty decent machine as well. Those two things work in tandem to make me pretty confident in my argument :P ...Although it's true that with PCs you never really know... :steamsad:
And you're right, I had none of these problems with any other game on this laptop, and I play all of my games in fullscreen, so I'm a bit baffled at not being given the option to do so in this game.

Using this guide, do you have options beyond 75hz available to you?

You can create a custom resolution and set 1920x1080@60hz, though I am not sure it will solve the issue. Perhaps a utility like DXWND would be helpful that allows you to play fullscreen games in Windowed mode or Borderless Gaming

https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/

Here I also only have the option for 75Hz unfortunately.

I'll try to check these options later, thanks. Although, hopefully, they'll at least fix the refresh rate so I won't have to mess with that on my side.

I have a laptop with the same issue. Only solution for fullscreen is to use an external monitor or television. Few other games have a fullscreen and refresh rate issue too.

So I am limited to using maximised windowed mode with pixellated graphics and slowdowns

As for FPS, in order to limit it to 60 fps, use Rivatuner, choose game exe and set the FPS limit to 60.

OST does not work. The intro plays but the moment I go into character select, it remains silent. The same goes for any stage BGM, they do not play..

I used to have a pirated version from a very long time ago, encountered the same issue there (it's uninstalled already).

Windows 10 Pro 64bit
16GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon RX480 8GB
Intel i7-3730k

No problem to launch the game, doesn't crash. Only problem is it doesn't respond to keyboard inputs (except Alt F4), mouse clicks and the Steam controller. Mouse and keyboard are wireless.

Is it caused by Dolphin or PCSX2?

Edit:
Turns out nothing is wrong. Didn't know that only z, x, c and v is the only input recognized during attract mode.
