I cannot activate fullscreen or change resolutions in configuration tool. These options are greyed out and I'm only allowed to play the game in windowed mode, which uses a really small window. Maximizing the window will show very pixelated graphics. Why is this happening and how can I play the game in fullscreen with proper resolution?
Also, I know there's a sticky about this, but my laptop's display is 75Hz, making the game run slightly faster than normal. On Nvidia control panel I see no option to set it down to 60Hz, with 75Hz being the only available option. There's NO other frequency available in the respective drop-down list. Any other way I can play this at normal speed? Will the game ever be fixed to not be tied to screen refresh rate? Please say "yes" or "maybe" :(
EDIT: Some specs:
Windows 10 64bit
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Native 1920x1080 @75Hz
So the solution is, buy a better laptop.
They should fix it so it isn't based on screen refresh rate though, as it is obvious it will cause disconnects if a person who runs 60 events and a person who runs 75 events will desync.
That's not a good solution, as my problem clearly has nothing to do with laptop quality. My laptop is relatively recent and probably better than most people's machines, unless they have expensive gaming-centric ones. I'll edit my other post with some specs later.
As for the refresh rate, there should indeed be desyncs if there's no slow down on the faster side to compensate (which many games do feature, but I haven't tried it here yet). However, I've experienced many game ports that were so closely tied to refresh rate that fixing that required writing code from scratch. If that's also the case here, I wouldn't hold my breath, but I still obviously hope they do fix it, or I might have to refund :(
It says in this sticky that they're working on this actually, so hopefully they manage to pull through.
Recent doesn't matter. It is more a question about budgets and the ideals of the manufacturer. I had an Acer tablet that they had firmware stating I was not allowed to fullscreen games. And that is only like 4 years ago. I had to buy an entirely new tablet just to be allowed to do something as simple as fullscreen.
But you should have seen the same problem on all other games you own, if it is hardware related. So you can easily try it out with other games and then ignore it if it is only this game that has issues.
I think its a combination of both the priority and the input leniency on them.
Thanks for pointing it out, and I'm really glad to know there's still hope! Meanwhile, any suggestions for workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
If I only said it was "recent", yes you would have a point, but I briefly mentioned it's a pretty decent machine as well. Those two things work in tandem to make me pretty confident in my argument :P ...Although it's true that with PCs you never really know...
And you're right, I had none of these problems with any other game on this laptop, and I play all of my games in fullscreen, so I'm a bit baffled at not being given the option to do so in this game.

Using this guide, do you have options beyond 75hz available to you?
You can create a custom resolution and set 1920x1080@60hz, though I am not sure it will solve the issue. Perhaps a utility like DXWND would be helpful that allows you to play fullscreen games in Windowed mode or Borderless Gaming
https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/
I'll try to check these options later, thanks. Although, hopefully, they'll at least fix the refresh rate so I won't have to mess with that on my side.
I have a laptop with the same issue. Only solution for fullscreen is to use an external monitor or television. Few other games have a fullscreen and refresh rate issue too.
So I am limited to using maximised windowed mode with pixellated graphics and slowdowns
As for FPS, in order to limit it to 60 fps, use Rivatuner, choose game exe and set the FPS limit to 60.
I used to have a pirated version from a very long time ago, encountered the same issue there (it's uninstalled already).
16GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon RX480 8GB
Intel i7-3730k
No problem to launch the game, doesn't crash. Only problem is it doesn't respond to keyboard inputs (except Alt F4), mouse clicks and the Steam controller. Mouse and keyboard are wireless.
Is it caused by Dolphin or PCSX2?
Edit:
Turns out nothing is wrong. Didn't know that only z, x, c and v is the only input recognized during attract mode.
