Xbox X Controller mapping won't function

I switched from a PS4 DualShock to an Xbox X controller, but I can't get any of remapping to work in AOR. I uninstalled/reinstalled, checked Steam controller settings, checked for drivers, and updated the controller. Nothing has worked and I'm lost at this point. Anyone have suggestions?

steam > settings > controller > general controller settings > (and ensure there are checks in the boxes for) xbox configuration support and generic gamepad configuration support

if you're using the controller via bluetooth re-pairing the device may help.

the controller works fine, you just can't remap the controls?

Hey Fidelo! Thanks for checking out my post. Yup, I have the Xbox and generic gamepad options set in the controller configuration.

I originally had the controller connected via BT, but swapped to a USB-C cable after a bit.

Control works fine in the game. I can move through the menus, select options, but in the key mapping, it's like there's no input

Actually, in game it's not recognizing it as a gamepad. It sees the controller as a joystick? All other games in my library recognize it as an Xbox controller, even the Steam controller settings see it as an Xbox controller

Do you have other input devices connected (e.g. a wheel, a joystick, a second controller) or some software controlling those input devices?

And what is your operating system (e.g. Windows 10)?

Oh lord, I feel dumb. AOR was seeing my Logitech wheel over my Xbox controller. Disconnected it, and worked like a charm. I can remap the controller in game now
