in game the cars are balanced so in the right hands, each has the opportunity to top the leaderboard, while still feeling different to drive.
I wanted to know if it had something unique with the handling or if it was more of a basic stat difference.
people look at the top 10, see a top time, then use that car, and the more people who do this, eventually the top gets filled with a 'dominant' car.
most cars are capable of top 10 times in the right hands and occasionally you'll see someone take a top time with a different car and soon the dominance is broken as more people try the different car. so in the end it has more to do with those driving the car, than the car itself.
the one class where this is a bit different is group a. because there's an achievement to drive the fujin for 555km, many people drive it to work toward the achievement, gain familiarity with it as a result, and stick to what they know.
as you play more, even try cars you disliked previously and you may find a new favorite. as your skills evolve, so too may your taste in handling.
