I am having fun on "skilled" difficulty using "heavy damage" modifier.
Hint: do not use "WASD". Use the arrow-keys for throttle, brake and steering, use your left hand however you like it for gearing, clutch-kick and handbrake. Pretty "oldschool" (in a good way) control-scheme: you can configure keys the way you want.
Highly recommended as a fun, fun, fun (but also challenging), flow-providing racing-game!
edit:
I use
stability aid: 0%
counter-steer factor: 140%
ABS: between 10% and 20%
