Any tips for steering options?
Car is really hard to control with a controller, can't really flat out at all even on straights. Any tips on settings? Is the default 50% way to go? How about the acceleration and braking settings? I did just put them 100% but don't really know. Help appreciated.

It, like most racing games comes down to personal preference. I have my steering set to 35%, acc at 55% and breaking at 40% and that works for me. Do you use manual gears? It really is trial and error and that is part of the fun.

This game looks very nice, but for me the keyboard control is impossible. This game looks more like a fun racing arcade, so why make its control like it's some super realistic racing simulator?

in gameplay options try stability 100% and countersteer factor at 10% (the lowest setting)
in control options select joystick then advanced options and add 5% deadzone to steering.

hopefully that'll help a bit.

I use a PS4 controller and left all to default settings. When I started playing the game I had the same issue as you, but I solved it by not looking at the car but looking where I was going. Try it, if you focus to much on the car you will be correcting to much. If you look a bit further where the road is going, it will get easier.

What also helps is leaving the game for some hours and picking it back up, you really notice that the steering is getting better. Hope you will find a stable car!

Have Fun!

Shouldn't you be at the checkpost in Arstotzka? ;-)

Starting off it helps to put steering sensitivity down low (20-30%). As you slowly gain confidence and "get gud" you will want to up the steering sensitivity to (90-100%)

Leave brake and accelerator at 100% sensitivity for instant response. Turn off all driving aids except oversteer correction at 50%. Use view camera 1 or 2 for a more behind car view. Use an easy to handle group 2 car such as the Alpine A110 "la montaine" as it will slide more gracefully into corners with lift throttle / braking oversteer as well as exit more gracefully through power oversteer.

And last, practice, practice, practice. I'm 2.5hrs in now and my driving ability has probably doubled. Getting top 100 times for now until the pros get here.
