Can't save or load
It says that it's missing "img/famupgrade1.png"
Can someone, in plain langauge, explain how to fix that?

found it, its in C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\KADOKAWA

Search your pc file and make sure they are at the good place.

You have the latest version of the game.

The message you have must be an error because of another rpg maker game you have in your steam account.

.rpgsave file search on your pc and be sûre they are in the right folder. Thanks.

I've read the answer in another thread, the problem is that I do not understand what I'm supposed to do.
You say "found it", so the img/famupgrade1.png is in that folder? No, I couldn't find it there.
"be sure they are in the right folder"
I found three in the KADOKAWA folder...but what IS the right folder?

Could you write out exactly what the error message says when you try to save?

I ask because I've followed all the steps ValRay mentioned, but I don't seem to have anything named famupgrade1.png either, though I don't have any issues saving whatsoever.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, or before that, going into the Steam files for it and verifying the cache?

"Error: Failed to load img/characters/famupgrade1.png"
Verifying the cache didn't do the job
Gonna uninstall and reinstall now.

A possible solution (I actually vaguely recall running into this when playing around with RPGMaker myself) could be to put an image in that folder and rename it to the one the game is attempting to load. It's kind of a slapdash solution, but it might work.

So, find a .png of some sort, rename it to "famupgrade1.png" and place it in the characters folder, which should be located under Steam/steamapps/common/RPG Fighter League/www/img/characters

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but it might.

I hoped to not have to do that.
...well, it got me so far, but now we got this
"Type Error Cannot read property "name" of undefined"
ValRay  [developer] Mar 24, 2019 @ 10:44am
Do you have other rpg maker game in your librairy of steam? All of them maybe to be install and see if you still have the errors.
LunaticHell Mar 24, 2019 @ 12:06pm
Yes, I do have other RPG maker games in my library.
You want me to uninstall all other rpg maker games to see if the error still happens?
I've got 131 games installed atm, of those at least 30 rpg maker games.
You want me to look through 131 games and pick out the rpg maker ones to see if that fixes a bug in your game?
I don't think this is how any of this works.

Its hard to tell because its must be a conflict between the 2 game. You can make sûre they are all installed and updated because its really hard to find the right one. You have tried to put a png with the file missing? What was the next error? You cannot save at any moment ?
LunaticHell Mar 25, 2019 @ 9:35am
Well, like I wrote earlier, it shows this
"Type Error: Cannot read property "name" of undefined"
I googled the error message and apparently it has got to do with missing values or something.

I just deleted 25 GB worth of RPG-maker games and reduces my entire collection of RPG-maker games to this one game.
Then I reinstalled this game.
Guess what? I see the exact same error message.

I really actually want to play the game I payed money for 13 days ago.

This is so strange .... humm you only have that game ? You have updated to the last version ? Do you make a fresh new game and try to save it ?? You still get the same error ?
LunaticHell Apr 7, 2019 @ 5:24am
I think I've figured out the problem.
After doing some tests, I found out the error happens in the save/load screen when you move the cursor to the file 1 slot and it attempts to load the panel that shows your game stats.
I presume file 1 is for auto save data.
Now when I try to access this on this fresh and new save file, I don't have any characters, right?
Thus file 1's character name is 'undefined'.
In other words: basically a null pointer exception in any other name.
tl;dr there's_your_problem.jpg

Erase save file 1 ? And start a new game and save on number 1 this might be true. I think you need to search from file type .rpgsave let me know. The more we learn the best we become
