Crashes at startup

The game crashes as soon as I start it in Windows 8.1 64-bit.

This used to work for me, but it doesn't anymore. I completely deleted my save files and the game's content on Steam and re-downloaded, but it didn't fix it.

What's going on here?

Manually installing the executables in the support/ directory caused the game to work. Why didn't it do that for me?

crashes me too...can not start it with a end high PC....strainge...

No it dosnt work, i have try it with 5 different PC´s. So whats the problem to make a game that let install itselfs normal and stars with a great working PC? Have try everything, delet, install again, install files in the support direction self..wtf? Why i must install the files myself? And after this all ♥♥♥♥, it dont work...

Yeah, this is weird. I put a game up on Steam, and I told it what packages to install. They automatically put a `_CommonRedist/` folder in your game and install those themselves straight from that folder.

Because this developer has a `support/` folder, then that means they did this manually. I don't know if it's bc those files aren't on Steam or he/she/they didn't understand how Steam works, but that's what's what and because of the age of this game and the fact that it has this issue that's never been fixed, I'm assuming this will never change.

You just run some executable files in the game's folder in Steam.

Got the game to run. I have Win 11; went into the Steam directory and clicked properties of the Flotilla executable file (only one there) & select Compatibility mode; I chose Win7 compatibility.
Runs like a charm.
