Trying to make a custom jukebox playlist, songs are playing slowly and low-pitched
I'm trying to make a custom playlist mod for the jukebox, consisting of mostly Frank Klepacki songs, but for some odd reason, whenever I try testing them in-game, the songs are played very slowly, and low-pitched.

When I converted them into .wav files, they played normally. But in-gane, problems started to occur. Is there anything I did wrong? Or was it the sound converter I used? Because I hope to make some other song mods for the game, and I don't want the same thing happening to those potential mods, too.

If anyone has some familiarity with these, please let me know what I can do to fix these. Thank you.

The new sounds need to match the length of the original sounds. You also need to right click whatever you're replacing, click properties, then click details to find the info of the file. I.E., format (mp3/wav) and bitrate (44kbps, 128kbps, etc).

I tried that, used the highest settings for the sound converter I used (named Sound Converter, found it in the Microsoft Store), sampling rate of 48 KHz and data transfer rate of 192 kbps. Even tried the medium setting with sampling rate of 44.1 KHz and data transfer rate of 128 kbps, and it still came out wrong.

Double check that the file you're replacing has the same settings you're using. Then make sure your new file is the same length. There's an interesting thing that happens when the sound doesn't match. If the sound is too short, it will play slightly slower than it's suppose to. If it's too long, it will play faster than it should. This is because it's trying to match the original file with the new information.

Or at least that's how I remember it, it's been awhile.

Same length as the base song?

It should be the same length, bitrate etc from the original. Try to pick the original jukebox music files from the game, & match the properties. That usually solves the sound problem.

I don't have any apps that change the music length

Try to google "Audacity". That's one of free softwares to edit audio. You can also cut music length as you like.

I'll do that when I have free time.
