Main menu logo and vpk.exe
Anyone know where's the main menu 'left 4 dead' logo file located at, cant figure out where the file is. And even though i verify cache twice there's still no vpx.exe in my bin folder. Any help would be appreciate.

The file is located in a vpk named pak01.dir in the Left 4 Dead game folder, but you'll need a tool to open it. I've never tried vpk.exe but I know using Gcfscape[nemesis.thewavelength.net] works, so you can try using that to open the pak01.dir vpk. Once you get in open the materials folder, and then the vgui subfolder and there's a file named left4dead2logo.vtf that's the one you want, you don't need the vmt file, that is just the material file that makes the logo translucent, not the logo itself. If you want to make your own vtf to replace the logo, you'll need vtfedit[nemesis.thewavelength.net] to convert the image to the vtf format.

Now for the vpk.exe try opening the Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring tool. You can find said tool in your Steam library under the tools section. I don't know 100% if that'll work, but you need the tool for workshop uploading anyway, so may as well try it. :Adult_Neptune:

if you dl the mod you can decompile it and see what it modifies so you can edit it yourself

Even though you found it, vpk.exe is linked to Authoring tools, so unless authoring tools is installed (i believe you have to run it once) all the modding tools are no available until you do so.
