Trying to get back into modding, VPK.exe missing?

I used to pump out a lot of mods and was thinking about getting back into it, but the vpk executable's just... missing. I've tried verifying the game's files several times and did a straight reinstall a little while ago, but it's still not there. Anyone have any clue as to what's up?

The vpk.exe is missing from the steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin folder? You verified the game cache, but I have a couple of other ideas. Maybe it would reappear if you restart your computer (probably not, but maybe.) Maybe it's on an external hard drive if you have one? Maybe you need to reinstall the whole game.
If none of those work, I wonder if it's possible for you to download someone else's vpk.exe, like mine or something.

Downloading someone else's vpk may work. I did a fresh reinstall recently with nothing. If you'd be willing to volunteer to send me yours to find out, I'd really appreciate it!

It is super easy to get the VPK.exe. You can easily get it from someone online or just download GSCAPE again.

hey i used this but when i tried to put my folder it did not worked its says something tier.0.dll is missing and vstblib.dll is too (for sounds aka tank theme music)


Update: nevermind it worked i need to put the vpk to the bin file first before using it thanks
