SetLocale('en_us.UTF-8') error

Someone is facing this kind of error after the launch of L4D2 underl inux?
The game seems to freeze during first loading, after minimizing it and restoring I saw this windows error telling me to install en_us.UTF-8 coding. I'm running it on a Debian 64 bit and the game is in Italian. Is there a packet that can be installed to solve this issue?

Uncomment (remove the # sign) the en-US.UTF-8 line in /etc/locale.gen and then run "locale-gen" as root
