Group of peoples DDOS,ing valve servers.

We need a mod on this thread as soon as possible there is a group of peoples that set up a server to gather peoples information (steam ID) to ddos all the servers we are joining to making us unable to play online anymore.

They are not targeting our IP directly they are tracking what l4d2 server we join thru the steam ID and targeting the server with DDOS attack all day long none stop.

We need a steam mod coming on this thread to acknowledge the situation, i am making an investigation and i got a small list of peoples that are the potential source of the problem.

Bobo you should probably start a threat in the Steam support forums, this is a community hub and it's unlikely moderators review much of this content. Thanks for keeping after this bro, and keep us posted!

This srcds exploit that they use has been known about for 3+ years now. They clearly dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about fixing it. I know exactly who started this but they sold access to the mysql database that fuels it to many people that can add your steamID at will. I gave steam support all of this info along with ways they could fix the exploit and it stopped for a few months but it came back as of a few days ago. My best advice if you really enjoy this game is make a new account and buy it again because valve is either incappable or too busy coming up with money making schemes like trading cards to do anything about this.

I asked for that and it was a no go. Its really only valve officials that are effected because there are plenty of addons that can stop it so you can play if you find some protected servers to always play on. You can also local host games and wont be affected.
