Special not making sounds until they strike, appearing out of thin air

In the last few weeks I've been getting blindsided by specials multiple times per game. They make no sounds until they strike. This is not a local issue. Is this intended? Or is this a glitch?

I posted about this earlier, but want to get some feedback on this. When specials strike like a lightning bolt with no warning as to their presence, that's neither fair nor fun. It diminishes the game. I understand trying to promote tighter team play, but this is a cheap ass way to do it.

I actually noticed that as well dude. I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me but obviously it`s not. I`m interested to know what`s going on as well if anyone can shed light on this issue?!
