How do I get L4D2 trading cards?

I have the game, I'm not at home, do I have to open the game to get my trading cards?

4 cards drop in game the other 4 you can trade or buy off market.

You need to play it for a while. Just like random drops on TF2.

you need to play single player i think. it worked for me. id say around 30-1 hour per card.

also. the max amount of cards you can find is 4.

Just play the game. You will get 4 cards at first, and after that you need to wait for a booster pack. The cards will just randomly pop into your inventory, so it may take a bit.
