Left 4 Dead 2

I've abvicated myself from playing multiplayer on this game for several good reasons. Let me first put out some facts.
I'm not sure where my skills level is at in this game. I don't want to be kicked or have to vote somebody off a game because they suck. I would like to play with others, but not at the cost of losing the game or getting jabbed at because my skills aren't up to par.

Thus I've decided to only play by myself in this game. Still fun & Still challenging for me. I'm sure my skills won't be in question when I get use to the game and start playing expert mode and become flawless at lonegunman mode.

I rather not become a hinderance to the elitist fanboys who gripe about "noobs" all the time. I also don't want to experience playing with someone who gets the horde acting up all the time. Hoards suck for me when I don't have an axe or katana to fight. Not that my guns skill suck its just I've a tendency to aim before I shoot-you can't do that when the hoarde is stampeding your butt.

Also, I've a tendency to not look behind me and just naturally scout ahead thinking my mates would catch up. I don't mean to skitty daddle leaving the pack behind, but I don't like wasting my time in one place either. I know most elitist fanboys care about achievements, yet they never say anything about it when the game begins or even bother mentioning-"Hey I'm kinda looking to get an achievement"-instead they rather like to piss on their teammates skills when thingsaren't going the way they've planned (hint-hint: maybe if you'd let me know-I might care and help you out). My objective is to get pass the map right into the next map.

Yeah I really haven't played versus modes yet and at this point with the way the community is like all bipolar nutcases. I rather not actually meet these unbalanced personas. I be better off being alone.

Thanks-Dam187 (Nice to meet you.)

Well if you're looking for some one to play with you can add me. I'm no "elitist fanboy" but I wouldn't really consider myself a noob either. I never play vs simply because of the types of people that typically play it, so I avoid it altogether. I'm not the greatest at expert mode but I can still hold my own when I have to. Add me, I'm online most of the day. :)

@Dam187

Have any real - life friends that play L4D 2? I can tell you from experience that several family & friends play the L4D series. And because of this fortunate case, I have been able to enjoy this game. That being said, ask your friends if they play this game. I mean the worst thing that could happen is they say " no ". I really don't think you have anything to lose asking them. Just my opnion though.
I know that feel bro. I dont understand why but some people seem so adament about making games seem like work. I like to have fun. Not raging about a Kill Death ratio or anything. I like to win but not at the const of having a good time. That being said, since this game now has workshop support im gonna buy it next time it goes on sale. Feel free to add me if you like. Just try not to let others ruin your fun time, its not fair you should miss out on a portion of the game because somebody cares way to much about not having fun.

And the same ppl who are getting killed and don't want to be votekicked and cry on the forums about it, are the same ones who as soon as they die rage quit the vs game they were in and go to another server leaving the other game to die because that noob ruined their game.

It is not about eliteism, it is simply about having players work as a team, who do not rage quit becasue they are crap and die and the veteran players are sick of carrying these nubs who quit when they die and whinge when they get kicked.

Most veteran players get sick of playing against noobs or with them, is it that hard to fathom some people want a challenge without some guy with 20 hrs coming onto a vs game and ruining what was a good close game?

FYI - veteran players ahve been there done that, they have seen hundreds of games with noobs who ruin it, die or grief or jsut don't listen so the veteran players are sick of it and just vote them off rather than go through the emotions of banging their head against a brick wall.

Which seems to not work anyways. There will always be "noob" because there will always be new players. You act as if all new players will ragequit which isn't the case and not all new players will quit the game either.

If a veteran player were a true vet of a game then they wouldn't votekick a player or forego trying to help a player. The reason being the game they play-they want to see survive and to runoff new players by just being rude doesn't make the situation any better.

As for new players who won't listen-you'll always find a jackass sooner or later if you look for them. Whether it being a "noob" who won't listen to sound advice or a jackass of a vet who just kicks a "noob" because of past experiences that caused him to become a bitter player.

I'm kind of in the same boat as the OP. Lately I have played so much single player that I have beaten all campaigns on expert. Well, except for the finales of Swamp Fever and Death Toll.

However, I do play VS just because playing Infected is so damn fun. I mostly play matches with random pubs, and while I do generally try to work with the team, I've learnt not to care if someone ragekicks me for whatever reason they see fit. The only time I actually don’t enjoy playing VS with pubs is when the opposing team is SO good that the infected can’t even get a meaningful attack in, even when we work together.

I would urge you to play more VS, as that is, IMO where the real fun and replay value of the game is. But having said that, really, you should just play however you want, and there is no need to get angry or frustrated, after all, it is just a game.

Add me if you want. While I’m a vet with 1500+ hrs, I really don’t mind playing with new players as long as they make an honest effort to play and learn.
