How to play Custom maps games?

Hi, I'm new to L4D 2 and I've recently went to l4dmaps website and downloaded some maps and mods. However I don't know how to play them? I've download the call of duty map nact undertoten or whatever its called. How do i play it 1 player and co-op? Can someone tell me please, I've tried everything but I cant play it because its not on my settings :(

Go to your Steam folder. Click on steamapps, then common, then Left4Dead2, then left4dead2 again, and then click Addons. Next, paste your zipped file in there and unzip in that folder. When you start up Left 4 Dead 2 again and you're choosing your campaign, scroll down to Addon Campaigns. Click the map you want to play, and proceed to have fun. Good luck =)

When I click add on campain I dont see my maps so I cant play the add on maps ahhh help :(
is the call of duty natc untoten in versus or survival? either way its not there ;(

I have no idea what you're talking about with Call of Duty. If you paste the zipped file into the folder I told you to put it in, then the maps should be there. I don't know why it won't work on your end, sorry.

it's a survival map, so it doesn't show up in the addon campaign section. you need to manually launch the map by bringing up the console and typing ''map'' followed by the name of the map. by the way, I highly recommend you don't play that map, the infected move too fast for a map that small, they flood the building and kill you right away.

You get to console by hitting the tilde key, that looks like this ~ in the upper left hand side of your keyboard.

Options > Keyboard/Mouse > "Allow Developer Console" (set to enabled)
Then press the ` on the main menu or ingame to activate it.

When you download a map it should appear whenever you try change the map in your lobby, assuming it is compatible with that gamemode, in your case you could create the lobby, set to friends-only, local host and play, and maybe get a mod like Admin system to remove people who somehow get in. (Going offline is a good way to stop friends from joinning) I tell you to get an admin mod because people can still join.
Whereas with console it does it private.
Someone already told you how to get up the map (basically type "map {Map Name}" and it should come up.

Map l4d2 or l4d and the map name will be in there
