If you mean you wish to mute a player who is using their microphone, yes.

1) Open the developer console.

2) Type "voice_show_mute"

3) Find nickname of the person you want to mute.

4) Remember this person's steam ID.

5) Type "voice_mute X", X is ID of the person.

Notes:

This only mutes voice. Text chat messages aren't blocked.

To unmute the person, type "voice_unmute X"

If you want to mute voice chat entirely, type "voice_enable 0". This will mute your voice too, noone will hear you. If you want to unmute voice chat, type "voice_enable 1" and restart the game.

If you can't open you console (by clicking ~ key next to "1" key), go Options -> Keyboard and mouse -> Activate developer console.

I just do selective hearing lol. I mean, I tend to voicechat rather than type because it's quicker for me and communication is important right? If someone is really moaning and it's getting on my nerves though I tell 'em to stop it. lol

To mute evey player in the game, go to options. Then Audio. Then disable voice. If you want to mute specific people, then you NEED the console command Dexter Morgan provided.

Or you can just put voice_enable 0 for muting the current game you're playing. I can understand you wanting to disable chat for those spammers and such, but it's a bad idea to not use mic as been said, it's a teamwork game. It could avoid you getting kick and such.

i dont care about being kicked, i rejoin in less then a minute in a other game and you can have teamwork even without voicechat.
its not just spammers its people complaining about every ♥♥♥♥ and feel the need to do what via voicechat. let them write in the chat i dont care but i want to play the game without a nearly crying voice in my ears :)

Wow dude, be a little comprehensive. Truly a lot of people can complain, but if you're about not wanting anyone to interact with in a "team based game", might as well just not play the game online at all. Sometimes people are right and it's good to learn alongside getting information and orders. You're not alone here.

this is not a i complain about other who complain thread. i have the answer to my question and i think whe should not start to discuss about why i need it :) no offence but there is no reason to discuss about it.
