Seems like Official Servers are done for, and from what I've been seeing people say, 3rd Party and Local Servers are screwed too.

Same happens to me. I wouldn't be surprised if that site was still up and running despite claims of the opposite

is the games state playable under the ddos? then no but your asking is it safe to play l4d2? then yes there is no security hazards

Ddos in lament terms just means flooding the server with useless junk information putting stress on it in turn slowing down the server

this ddos script cant harm any of the users on the server in any way it just gets in the way of playing the game by over stressing the server with clutter information making mass ping delay and packet loss to anyone on the server

TL:DR yes you can safely play on the game and its servers. there is no security problems however with the Ddos going around it put the servers into a unplayable state making "is it safe" rather redundant

I havent played online in a while but if its unplayable, then its good that left 4 bots 2 got an update so that you can have more fun in singleplayer
