problem with Astro A50's
I am on a windows pc and trying to talk to people in the game with my Astro A50's and they can't hear me. All they can hear is a buzz from my mic even if I flip up the mic to put it in the off position apparently the buzz continues. This is the only game I have issues with it. My Astro's work with everything else and I have gone into the audio settings and tried to mess with them to no avail. Anyone know whats going on. (this is not happening on a mac btw its on a windows)

The Astros are connected through the MixAmp? Wireless or wired?

yes they are connected through the MixAmp
A50's are wireless they do not come in wired form (though one could make them wired if they were to use them while charging them)

Sorry in advance if I'm giving you outdated info. I'm using the MixAmp back with the A40s. I have my Mixamp connected through TOSLINK and the PC/PS3 cable connected as well for mic chat. Windows picked up my Mic as a standard digital mic input. Is that what you got?

TOSLINK??? I have my mixamp connected to the pc via usb it only requires 1 cable to be plugged in regardless of the device I use. When the headphones are plugged up like this it recognizes the headset as Astro by name and all. O.o I don't need to connect extra cables to use mic chat.

If you don't have an issue with say...TF2 but do have a problem with this game then that's beyond me.

I have no issue with anything else other than Left4Dead and its if I play with randoms (basically if I am on the select map screen in a room with friends then I have no issues), the problem is the only time I can tend to complete levels are with randoms as my friends are all done playing L4D2 and I just got the game myself. Bunch of them expect you to be able to speak it seems though and when I try to my mic is just buzzing.

I run Astro a50s, work perfect for every game besides l4d and l4d2. Not sure why. Refuses to work at all for any game chat and I have to use party chat on XBL.
